i'd though advise to use atleast a voltage stabiliser in the loop, to connect the speakers to it. cases occur where speakers go bust due to spike. happened to mine. fortunately the fuse took it upon itself (was connected through a UPS; UPS died with its fuse also blown away). while one member's speakers were damaged twice (no UPS or stabiliser in loop).

I have sent you a PM, regarding Yamaha NS8390 speakers that I have and not using. You can audition it as i stay close in thane. they are about a year and half old and in good condition. You can get a Norge amplifier and really rock out as long as you dont mind used gear. They will be much better than computer speakers and last long.
If you ever get the itch then you can expand it to 5:1 as time and budget permits.
