I guess the budget will go over 1 Lakh esp if buying from showroom mine is restricted to 90k if it's really worth it otherwise will stick to 46" Non 3D or 40" LG 3D.Go for 46D6000 or 46D6600 depending on your budget. You won't be dissapointed.

Try the grey market for Samsung. If you're live in Delhi, Gaffar Market is the place to go.
As already updated earlier my location is Hyderabad which doesn't have a grey market. Atleast not which I'm aware of based on whatever I know.
Can someone please provide some more info on this grey market?
ak47, Do you think 46D6000 is a good one to opt for? I think it's a startup 3D with no 2D to 3D conversion which I don't think is a big deal.Go for 46D6000 or 46D6600 depending on your budget. You won't be dissapointed.

Please let me know. Right now looks like 46D6600 is out of the picture.
I have read about this panel thing. But not sure what's this all about? What is this lottery system? Is this a real thing to take into consideration? For whatever my opinion is worth, you can get extra 2years warranty with the Sony, which is not possible with samsung unless the dealer offers it to you.
Also samsung still has a panel lottery system for its models, including the D6X00 , it may not matter to the common buyer but you might end up with a inferior panel! This is not the case in the sony though, you will definitely get a SPVA panel!
I didn't see the Sony and Samsung Side by side since in most of the stores they are keeping the 3D TV's separately.have u seen the sony and the samsung 2D picture quality side by side ? which one did u like ?
