Most importantly, you will need a DNS service. You can either use on of the free ones - better to do that to test or get a trial service.

But I am more concerned about the XBMC part - AFAIK and when I tried configuring, I could never get Netflix to work on XBMC.

First off, sign up for a DNS service - you get trial periods. And then try configuring NetfliXBMC - a plugin for Netflix on XBMC. Let me know how it works. Or you will have to just use Netflix on the browser.

Today I have subscribed a VPN service for just 35$ for lifetime & it works like a charm..

I have been able to play Rhapsody & Pandora Radio, Netflix and Amazon Premium music and video services.It plays everything very fine on my Iphone, (with airplay On my Home theatre system too) & on my Windows PC and Macbook Pro too..it has only one limitation as it does not give us DNS server we can't add it to router.Still I am looking for its solution & if i find anything will post here..It is working extremely good..

Guys I so much would like to access netflix this way but alas, no good ISP here in Pune. Each one of them worse than the other. If any one knows of a reliable high speed ISP provider here in Pune please PM me.

You just need a 4mbps connection to go HD ...... I am sure you will find an ISP to give to atleast that .....

How do they recognize their clients or members when there is no login facility in router ? (If we enter those DNS at router level)

Similar to Netflix, we also now have the option of HBO NOW. I've just started the one month free trial yesterday and catching up on game of thrones now. Also purchased a $50 iTunes gift card for Rs 2800 which can be used for HBO now payments later on. The service costs $15/month and allows 3 streams simultaneously. If anyone wants to join let me know. For three people it'll cost us appx Rs 280 per month once the free trial expires on 27 May. Until then it's free. Do remember that it's limited to apple devices for now (android and other devices coming in a few months but no fixed date yet). I tried it in my iPad iPhone and Apple TV and it worked great with all. No profile support like Netflix so that will be a minor issue. Hopefully it'll be added soon but until then we'll have to just deal with it.

I plan to use the free one month trial and pay for one more month before discontinuing the subscription. That way we get it for two month total for the cost of one month and more importantly, watch the complete game of thrones season without the need to pirate it (ugh). After that we can turn it back on and off every few months for a month or two to keep up with the latest HBO has to offer without spending too much on it.

Also, if someone wants to get the free trial on their own, do make sure to create a new U.S. iTunes account (if u don't have one already) and subscribe to it before 30th April. After that there will be no free trial.

When HBO Hits is showing it at 100 Rs./month and if you have a recorder you can any way watch all episodes the time you want. So how does Netflix offer a better option?

Two things. Uncensored and a huge on demand library.

Really annoying when you get simple words like shit get muted. I can understand the censorship on nudity and sex (especially considering the fact that children have access to cable TV) but language and violence censorship breaks it for me. Watched kickass on HBO HD last month and I think they chopped off at least 20-30% of the scenes and dialogs. What's the point of broadcasting it even? I can't even imagine watching game of thrones on Indian cable channels. It'll be pointless IMHO.

Yes, 35$ for 2 years is a really good offer. I have not had any issues with their service the entire year. My subscription will be ending in 2 weeks time. But sadly no offer emails till now. Looks like post expiry only the offers would start coming in from them. As of now for 2 years renewal it shows 49$. Which is high. I can switch to adfreetime for a month and try it out. Only worry is i do not know if Sony Blu Ray Players are supported as nothing is mentioned on their site.

damm why am I not able to see any such offer? I just see my status ACTIVE but says payment failed, which is obvious as the subscription ended on 10 May. I though I will see the options to reactivate .......... dont know whats wrong

Thanks for all the inputs shared earlier which helped in firming up my decision to watch netflix on roku3.

However I am facing the following problems - I am unable to create Netflix account as my Indian card is not being accepted on the web site.

In case if any membership is open for watching netflix do let me know as I am interested.
