New 43D490 Samsung.. Cheated by the seller

Hi All,

I purchased 43D490 in last week. When the TV delivered to me it was packed nicely but when i checked the usage of the TV it shows its already used for 315 Hrs.

I complained about the same to to store from where I bought the TV. They have agreed to replace but they are saying it will take time and I am not sure if they will replace it or not.

Can any one guide me on what should I do now? what steps should i take to get it replaced.

There is a thread which recently discussed same issue with a dealer 'Dawar's open world'. Please visit the thread. You will get some help there. First ensure that they officially agree(on paper or on email) that It was a used piece and that they would give replacement. Keep the company representative(samsung) in loop.
 
how to check the usage in this model.plz help i want to confirm my usage

Panel hours can be reset by any folks, if they are going to do the Reset from the service Menu, i tried to myself to my 43D490 and it showed 0 hours though it was showing almost 80 hours before the reset.....

Anyway here is how we can access the Service Menu for 43D490

While the TV is in standby mode:
Press the {INFO}, {MENU}, {MUTE} & {POWER} buttons. (in the same order)

The TV will turn on with the Service Menu displayed.
Use the {UP} or {DOWN} buttons to select "SVC"
"PANEL DISPLAY TIME" will be one of the items listed.

To exit, press the {POWER} button.


NOTE: After exiting, all picture settings will be reset to
default values. So make sure to write down custom
adjustments before accessing the Service Menu.

Raise a complaint with Samsung Customer care too.......Ask the Dealer to refund your amount if they do not deliver it within your specified time. If you neglect it, they will keep telling you cock and bull stories that stock is not there with them....etc!

Hi Vinod,

where did you buy the tv from? I also had a similar experience with Lg. I had to complain to the company who then urged the dealer for replacement. It took a few days but in the end I did get my replacement. You need to make a noise and take it up with the company. It's really disgusting and annoying why they resort to such cheap tactics.
