Hi All,
I have been following this forum for some time to research buying my first LED/LCD/Plasma TV. I wanted a Full HD 40/42" Plasma / LED TV without 3D.
The P42U30D was the obvious choice but it was not easily available.
Anyways I finally got my Panasonic P42U30D. It is installed on the Wall.
Luckily the viewing angle is such that there is no glare of the Tube Light behind at all.
Updated the firmware to the latest Ver 2015 from the existing Ver 2010.
I installed the Twonky Media Server for DLNA on my Windows XP Machine having all my movies.
The P42U30D is connected through cabled LAN to my home Network. The DLNA Media Server was detected and I was able to play all files except the .MKV files. the MKV files were not listed at all in the Director while browsing the Media Player directory for the DLNA Server.
Would this be a limitation of the TV or the DLNA Server running on the PC ? Anybody has any idea ?
Thanks
Styler
