New release vinyl

I recently came across some sellers in India who are getting records from UK in huge stocks and sellign them in India. Not sure about their contac but yes the Vinyls are in unplayed condition.

I do not see any reason for going the Vinyl way for new releases. I have the CD some of these albums like Delhi 6, Rockstar and others whose sound quality is simply amazing. You can still get these CDs at a very decent price if you hunt around if people prefer media over streaming.

The companies are simply trying to cash in on the Vinyl craze by repressing these albums on Vinyl and selling it at exorbitant prices.

Recently purchased Jagjit Singh's Aaeena LP . Can't say that this 180gms new vinyl is great as its gain is low . But it is not bad either. Rather it has a smooth sound with a good bass and vocal. However , i have found that in almost all the new vinyls of the old recorded music the gain is low . Can't understand the reason.

Most of the new pressings are so bad that CD is better. I have given the feedback to New Gramophone house, please do that as well.
Absolutely no idea how people can make such bad pressings, almost like being copied from a CD into a LP.

AFAIK Bombay was not released on vinyl. This is the first time it is released on 180gms vinyl.
Bombay1994 is released 1st pressing was released in 2017 &

in 2024 2nd pressing was launched 👇

the first pressing was OK but from all reviews the 2nd is really bad. better off streaming.

Sorry for giving wrong info. Thanks for correcting me. Bombay was released during my college days and then no LP was released. I thought the now available LP is the first attempt . But you have corrected me.

Somehow the new releases have just turned to crap with the single mindedness of hoodwinking music lovers. There are cartels working who would make records go out of stock in an instance and then bring them back at crazy crazy prices. But somehow maybe a section is still buying thus keeping this illicit practice still running.....

In agreement. Moreover in certain WhatsApp group new and 1st pressing vinyl (old) are posted with exorbitant prices and within an hour or so declared as sold to create more demand. Again the seller is coming back with another ad of one more piece available and that too with higher prices.

I do not buy new vinyl (90s onwards OSTs) and listen to digital copies with Denafrips DAC. More than enough as recordings were good and all DDD CDs
