HI All
I have previously bought
VU 60 on Flipkart for 77k
http://www.hifivision.com/television/65170-vu-60inch-4k-purchase-initial-views.html#post718173
The TV Speakers were just meh so I wanted to add a small budget soundbar to the setup so we get some real bass.
I was looking at various soundbars, I did not want to spend like 50k on a high end one so chose: Sony HT-RT3 Sound Bar type Home Theatre System (Black)
it has HDMI/Optical In
I was stupid enough to not look at the ports that TV offered, seems it has 3x HDMI 2.0 ports but none are ARC.
ALso it has no Optical out so thats another bummer.
I was reading threads that said 55 inch tvs from the VU Iconium had these ports so I was hoping these will be there.
Just a warning for others do look at the ports and ensure before purchasing addons.
Now to salvage the situation I just used the optical out of the Airtel DTH and while it solves the issue partially, I cannot use the soundbar for USB/TV Apps content .
TV Does have a SPDIF port ( i guess coax) , does it help if i purchase a SPDIF Coax to optical wire or converter? would it still transmit Dolby content?
Also not sure If i should post here or on the audio section about this.
