OLED TV's price/best quote thread

I'm assuming that their base price is around 1.3 and then 15k(IDFC)+3k(HDFC) cashback. Got the same base price quote from Reliance Gopalan Mall with some slight reduction promised at the time of billing plus the usual 7.5k CB. Which Reliance store was this?

This is what was offered to me.
1.29L for the TV - 15K(IDBI Finance) - 2800(HDFC Card Cash Back)
or
127500 for the TV - 12750 (10% CB on 2 Cards - Split Payment if Finance does not work for you)

Reliance Digital Kanakapura Road Store (Near JP Nagar 9th Phase)

I am looking to buy 65C9 using my Standard chartered Credit card.
SC is mentioned on the LG website, however the terms and conditions are not mentioned.

Anybody has idea on what are the T&C for SCB CC?

Why post GST also we have different price everywhere. Are there any local taxes on TVs
The local taxes I believe are part of the GST itself. Even I'm stumped. How does an 55A9G that costs 1.73 pre cashback cost another 42k here? A decade ago when I joined the forum there were differences obviously. At the time one would get the best prices right here in Bangalore

I noticed this trend on tatacliq as well prior to the festive sale season. The LG Delhi resellers offered the best prices on the C9s and they were easily 20 to 25k lesser

Ideally difference should not be more than 5-10k post GST.But reality is different. Also online is a big joke.flipkart is still showing 1.73 for 55 inch C9 for my pin code at pune.

Its beyond my logic Flipkart which sells thousands of Iffalcon and Vus and other budget tvs for 30-35k category can not sell OLED or other high end tvs for a reasonable price

I haven't looked at the lower tier to mid tier segments but I have always seen offline stores being better for supposedly premium TVs like OLEDs except for maybe last year's diwali and a few instances this year . And yes on Tatacliq. I don't think we can do value buys for TVs online on Flipkart and Amazon vis a vis offline. One reason is online platforms can't publicly operate below a certain MOP and this is quite strict for TVs. Offline stores can always work that out even if it is just for a few thousands.

This is going to apply to other product lines like phones, pretty soon with CAIT exerting serious pressure on the government even going to the extent of blaming banks and brands for giving cashbacks online. Many phone companies chinese ones included have decided to keep offline/online prices in absolute sync post Dec.
In fact it might be back to a brick mortar experience for all of us for a majority
of our gadget shopping

Got talking to a person who heads a marketing agency that works with one of the leading Korean brands.

He explained that Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur still have a trend of larger rooms, and 65" Is a sweet spot here. Of these, the NCR has a double benefit of large room + large market for these items.
This is unlike the modern highrises in Pune, Hyd and BLR, where rooms are smaller & 55" Is the most popular size. So most dealer inventory there is in the 55" Size.
The company makes the dealer schemes basis expected offtake, and more dealers in NCR qualify for the highest slab of discount and pass that along. That's why MOP is lower here inspite of uniform GST etc.

He recommended I check with Vijay Sales and Reliance as they have recently made block purchases. Which is what I did thereafter.

it seems dhanteras offers are here.
Got a callback from Vijay Sales for 1.98 for the 65" C9 in Gurgaon. Didn't discuss finance or cashback as I had to rush to a meeting. Will follow up and post the final price from them by Friday

1.98 was offered with the Soundbar? If yes then that it would be better than any deal even in US.

Do you ask for Bajaj finance with this price?if they club together the effective price may be 1.3l only.
I didn’t ask about Bajaj Finance. I availed EMI offered by HDFC credit card that gave a cash back of 7.5 K. Effective price of 1.3? What would be the breakdown for this price?

Nope. I wanted the deal nett of the soundbar. Although he did tell me that they'll try to liquidate the soundbar at an attractive price of around 12k.

This price was before any card / financing cashbacks.

Hope that helps.

If we refuse sound bar( the price mentioned bis 49990 in news paper and web page) + 19k gold coin + 13 k voucher = 1.3l

All those wondering as to why there is a price difference. It is quite simple, it is up to the individual salesman/his supervisor/store manager and the store itself to take a call on ad-hoc discounting. Please remember that there has been no official reduction of pricing announced by LG on their OLED panels for 2019.

Furthermore, IMO you will get a better deal from a non LG Shopee store (local dealers, chain stores like Vijay Sales, Croma or Reliance) as I have a feeling that they have been told by LG itself to not go below a certain price point. So some of them have resorted to playing scare tactics of telling prospective buyers that if you get a rate lower than what they are offering then there is something fishy going on like a open box piece or a display model.

If you are paying a penny over 1.2L for the 55C9 or 2.1L for 65C before cashback then you are over paying for sure.
NEGOTIATE TILL YOU ARE HAPPY :)

I paid ₹ 2,08,000 for 65C9. With cash back it comes down to 2 L. Also got LG sound bar which is retailing for about 35 K. In addition also got 3 yrs Extended warranty. Had I worked a little harder, I may have been able to shave off additional 2-3 K.
The bundled Soundbar is a good one for the price. It has decent reviews and definitely makes sense considering barely passable inbuilt sound of 65C9. In 35-40 K category it would be one of the better buys if purchased separately.
I was told by one person who has an insight into deals on appliances is that deals depend on how big an outlet is. If a dealer picks up large number of pieces then he gets it at a relatively lower price from the manufacturer. Bajaj Electronics is known as a big stocker, which explains low prices at their outlets. Vijay sales also falls in a similar category. A buyer’s negotiating skills come into play after he reaches the right seller.
Moreover, I also found that the manufacturers give best deals during pre Deepawali period. OLED TVs have been cheapest during this period for the last wo years.
Wishing good hunting to those who are still on the prowl.

If you refuse Soundbar they don’t reduce the price of the TV by 49999. Dindn‘t negotiate much without the Soundbar since I wanted one and this one is pretty good.
The retail price of the Soundbar is around 35K. But I have a doubt that they would reduce the price by even 35K.
Any member here who has negotiated without Soundbar may please educate us on the price they were able to get.

They'll reduce it by 10k only. That's what Vijay Sales in Mumbai showed me in their dealer price list when I bought it last month. Minimum price and then reduction for refusing the soundbar.

Lg is been more sensible in setting prices than other brands like sony or samsung.even if you check USA prices now on bestbuy its 2500 USD which is 1.77lac approx+state tax 5%-9% which adds 9000-15000 more.so if you are living in California then it will cost around 1.92lac approx now.Even if you assume low tax state of 5%.then its 1.86lac approx.

In india we are getting sound bar worth 35k and 2 more years warranty for 10k-15K more.which is not bad at all.I know in usa prices will be drop further on black friday and cyber monday. It will be interesting to see by how much.

Sale prices for 65 C9 have dropped to 1699$ already. There was a thread on Reddit about this from authorised eBay seller with good ratings. Black Friday will see similar prices. 55 C9 should hit 999$. Prices in India are still way too high. We're getting better deals than last year though it seems, especially the extended warranty.
