is 3d bd player useful i am asking becauseif it is not of much use i will buy this tv without player so thatprice can be reduced and did u buy 3d glasses seperately or did the samsung gave as a freebie

At present the 3D is just a add on feature but in future you may use more. I don't have DVD player. So this is more worthy for me. This 3D BDP is a nice player and has a USB port and play almost every thing from Pendrive and HDD. Two 3D glasses come with this TV as default.

Flickering is due to light. Only Panasonic claimed that the 2012 model of 3D glasses (Active) based on RF do not flicker in light.

I have not experienced any flickering in 3D on my 43E490. I have a CFL on the rear wall about 15ft away.

i went to retail store and price of samsung 43e490 was quoted 48000rs with 2 3d glasses and 3d bd player was it a good deal and he said that he cant take the bd player and reduce the price as it is directly shipped home

On the 3D glasses there are red and green sticker like things on left and right ones. what are they ?. I think they are the sensors/ receivers for synchronizing with the TV. Any expert opinions ?

Those stickers are there to prevent stretches on glasses according to Samsung Engineer. Take out those stickers.

Is it stretch or scratch ? If stretch is the correct word, how those tiny stickers prevent stretching of the glass and will it be better to leave it on the glass for safety of the glass ?

The BDP delivered separately and the dealer cannot reduce the price. you have to sold it separately somehow, if you do not need it. When I bought my TV the dealer is even not aware of the offer until I told him.

Again in indiatimes surprise offer going on where samsung E490 is about approx 40K but BD Player not given as freebie

I just found out that the free BDP does not support ts format videos ( mainly recorded from STBs) and more worse does not have a volume control. The latter is really a shame. The volume control buttons on the remote actually controls the volume of the TV.
