PAL vs NTSC - which is better

PAL is 576 lines vs NTSC is 480 - so PAL DVD PQ should be better, isnt it ? We get PAL DVDs in India, so that shud be a cause to rejoice (even tho we almost never get DTS soundtracks on Indian DVDs). Found some interesting data on the above, thot I shud share :-
