Thanks to Gaurav and Rahil, who made a good negotiation, Yesterday I paid for this model.

At Chroma, Mumbai
Price 60,000
Payment 14K down balance in 14 instalments interest free.

Delivery and Installation free. 3 Years standard warranty (these are standard at all dealers)

They have further 5 pieces stock. If any one is interested, He / She can book at this price.

I think this is a good bargain and fantastic value. Please remember that people bought this at a "bargain" price of 60K about 9 months back also.

I reviewed the new series expected to be launched in July 2011. There is no clear equivalent replacement for this V20 model. Closest is either GT30 or ST30.

But, both of them do not offer any picture or quality improvements but only add the useless 3D option. The infinite pro and NeoPDP panels are same. The processor versions are same.

Panny seems to be concentrating on adding more and more of connectivity features in 2011 models. The incremental picture / quality improvements seem to be negligible. In fact, I believe that this is the trend for all popular brands.

Therefore, Under these circumstances, the better value can be had in such top-of-line-but-phase-out models. Your mileage may wary.

I was told 59K in Bajaj electronics, hyderabad without any bargain for the same model last week.

Maybe, We are not smart enough to get deals like Hyderabadis!! Thanks for your information, though. Our purchase is only the best deal we could find. Many other dealers do not even have this in stock...

Most probably yes. Just go to any Chroma outlet and give them the reference of sale in Mumbai. (Malad branch but also available with any other branch).. If you need any specific contact of sales manager of Chroma, Please PM me. You should be able to get it locally at Delhi also...

Bought the 42V20D today @Croma, Juhu.

Requested delivery on Sunday. Had been eyeing this model for quite sometime and was a little disappointed when most of the electronics dealer ran out of stock of this model.
Didn't expect Croma to carry stocks until I read this post. They still had 3 pieces in stock after I made the purchase.

Was quoted 63.5k as the best price. Croma price was Rs.67,999. Told them that a deal was closed at 60k the day before and a phone call to their superior made it for me.

Thanks to all the forum members for the fruitful discussions they had in various posts which helped me make a choice between a Plasma rather than a LED.
