For the inputs and outputs of the OPS,what connectors to use?
I tried installing screw terminals, seeing that its easy to use,but even after trying pretty much every shop i could find,in my little city,i am not able to find terminals which have the same pitch as the pcb holes. Two pin terminal can be forced in but not 3 pin.I am not able to find big sized berg connectors either.
I dont want to solder bare wires.
Any suggestions?
Ok,will try.
But,will it leave the leads long enough to make sufficient contact?
Sachin/Om,
Can I tweak the Pass B1 build to have two pre outs? It would help me to hookup a Subwoofer if I can have one more pre out from Pass B1.
Thanks,
John.
Thanks Om.
Can I use a simple RCA splitter like this to get 2 outputs from each channel? One to Sub and other to Power Amp.
For only $0.26 each when QTY 50+ purchased - RCA Plug to 2 RCA Jack Splitter Adaptor.
I feel from source to speaker component chain should be minimum (Means source - preamp - power amp - speakers). Now powered subwoofer is also power amp + speaker.Do you guys recommend taking the Pre out and feeding the Subwoofer or taking the speaker line out put from the Power amp and then feeding them to the high level input of Subwoofer and then feeding L-R speakers from the Subwoofer?
Raghu, looking nice build. BTW you connected source selector output at middle pins of toggle switch position on B1. That omits shunt of 1MOhm at inputs. That need to be connected at input which avoids pops and thumps while switch on/off of different sources. Just short that with any position of input 1 or 2.
