Did you miss the big spam attacks of yesterday evening and today? If so, then, yes, it would be pretty meaningless. Some so-called tantric babu (powerfol, too ) offering his services for just about everything you could possible think of --- except hifi.

Sometime back when i saw the threads in this forum, there would have been easily 20 - 30 new threads started by a person with love/astrology & some junk stuff.... Suddenly after few minutes of refrehs, it had all gone.. I think Thad is referring to that....

I always report for such kind of activities, even reported for two posts yesterday but after that saw that he has posted same thing in new 26 Threads

But replies in those post were AWESOME. I enjoyed them a lot :lol:

There is a 60 second interval between reporting, this prevent us reporting quickly.
Admin should tighten the sign up security captcha to prevent random id signup and bot attack.

Immediate solution is prevent new user sign-up until new security solution in place..

or

Ensure first post by new user go through manual moderation

And yes... he's back.

I would suggest to the mods some sort of new-member lockdown. All threads posted by new members held for approval before going live. It is that much more work for the mods, though.

Does this BBS software have a module to catch suspected spam and put it on hold? That works well too.

Anyway, I'm off to see if Tantric Cables are available yet...

How he / it is able to pass through moderation is not clear to me.
First five posts do not appear here unless approved by a mod.

EDIT: I think the initial posts moderation is withdrawn recently since there were complaints from new joinees that their posts were appearing quite late on the board.
Babaji seems to be a manual registration but later on latched to a bot.
So we must put back the inital post moderation and then have a post padding thread for someone to complete the first 5 posts.

Trick is write 6 posts together, forum software look for post count >5 even though initial 5 posts are not approved it approve 6th post automatically. Once sign-up is through bot takes only seconds to post multiple threads
