Trick is write 6 posts together, forum software look for post count >5 even though initial 5 posts are not approved it approve 6th post automatically

I believe every post (first 5) is approved manually when that feature is enabled. I could be wrong but.

i spotted babji from his 4th spam thread and watched him till his 28th-20th thread. reported multipel posts to thread and even got a thought to call the mods but it was close to 11..

finally babaji was wiped out..

In forum admin there is an option to delete user including post, so in a single click admin can delete user along with all the post he made.

It was very irritating last night, I was desperately waiting for him and his nuisance to be blocked. Thankfully it has happened.

Ha People who missed that SPAM- really sorry for you all. FM's were Jumping in requesting their Wishes was too Funny,But almost the Forum was ONE MAN STAND previous day Night.

Even i sent a Message Moderator to delete the Posts.But that was a differ Night,FUN+IRRITATION.

Just for few Hours,Our Forum was Like "Traveling in Chennai Metro Train" full of Adds and Bills.

Now He disappear, Probably He should be visiting for all other forums "Virtually and Spiritually".

But personally He(BABA) should be a normal Guy and after coming to our forum and get exited of Hi-fi discussion,Images and gone Mad Probably he might have not Money or Home or Job etc and reached the Original BABA.

He would have advised Pls spread my power add atleast to 1000 people then you will get a Nice HI-FI what you looking for

Anything could have happen,Possible we could restrict the Forum members by Limiting 5 Post per day or 10 Post per day Max and if need to cross the same then Probably Mod's approval could be aksed.

Hope FM's could bare 5 Spam post moreover Mods Also have their work so cant keep watching each and every word in the Post(Though they do it normally )

There is a 60 second interval between reporting, this prevent us reporting quickly.

There's absolutely zero benefit in reporting multiple posts from the same bot. Just report one post and once a mod sees the report, it takes him 10 seconds to delete all his posts/threads and ban him using the "One Touch Ban" (OTB) option. No need to point out each and every post individually. If anything, it adds to the mods work as they'll have more reports to check only to find out its about a spammer they already took care of.

Also, it's better for the mods if FMs don't post replies to such spam bots in pre-existing threads. Coz now the mod also has to remove your posts too (this time manually) as they won't make any sense anymore. But, if the bot has posted a thread of its own, feel free to post as much as you want. Once a mod OTBs a spam bot, all his threads are deleted including FM's replies in those threads.

Admin should tighten the sign up security captcha to prevent random id signup and bot attack.

Immediate solution is prevent new user sign-up until new security solution in place..

Unfortunately, neither is a practical solution. Waiting for your first post to be moderated is a nuisance (especially when you are a newbie and hoping to find a quick solution to a problem which made you join the forums) and drives new members away from joining the community.

And there's no security process (unless you manage to get your hands on CIA/NSA level security) which is anywhere near perfect. Ofcourse you can have better measure which will keep the forums safe from the low level bots but Spam bots are here to stay. Only solution is to add more mods (or some sort of spam police with limited mod powers) to ensure they're taken care of ASAP.

Though the Bot Baba was utterly annoying and had to be removed soon.
I thought he added some humour to our forum for a while.
