I have a pioneer BDP 160 Bluray player. I made it on after a long time. Display is Flashing too much (every few seconds). It has become difficult to use in this situation.
Request help from members to sort out the issue. Thanks

Hi

Could be coz you are using after a long time, let it play for some time...keep it on....once the components warm up it should settle.....try to upgrade the firmware if available...read the instructions clearly.....

If no resolution, then would advise to take it to a repairer who is skillful to detect the matter and fix it.....google searches also may help to identify a solution

I will try to leave it and see if it plays. I made a call to the service center who said DSP card may have a problem replacing which may cost 5600!
How does one upgrade the firmware? How will it help?
Btw Google didn't help much

Hi

I have two Pioneers the BDP 150 and the BDP LX 55.....firmware upgrade helps in optimal performance.....I did that for my players and not faced any issue till date.....

Service center will always rip you off.....try the local repairer who is known for repairing AVRs, LEDs etc....I am sure you can wrap the matter within 1500...all the best....

Have you tried the reset button (inside the small hole) below the tray?
