Hi, i want to know, whether we can connect lattop to the Pioneer HTP RS77 system to play the songs(Direct from laptop insted of USD and CD)

Yes you can connect laptop to AVR through the 3.5 mm headphone out. But for better SQ use SPDIF or HDMI out of the laptop if available.

Thanks for your reply, if u have the picture of the cable(3.5mm headphone out) or a link, could you plz send to me to get the idea.

i have tried connecting with hdmi cable one end to laptop and other end to receiver and tested keeing in BD, DVD, TV/SAT, but the music output is coming from laptop only.

Since your laptop has hdmi out, set hdmi as the default playback device. Right click taskbar volume icon > Playback devices > Set hdmi as default device. In some case you will need to set hdmi as the playback device in your player also. If only hdmi doesn't work, you need to buy 3.5mm cable.
