I got the Receiver today. Connected it to the Maxine 1kv transformer and it came to life. Initial impression was that the sound was not as loud as my old Denon, but once I calibrated and setup the speakers using their auto calibration, the receiver came to life. :clapping:
Awesome sound and very neat looking receiver. For 18k plus another 3k for the tranbsformer, it is a awesome deal in every way. :yahoo:
General Thoughts for others who might want to order:
1. Was not happy with the packing. There was a slight outward bend on the air vent sleeve above the receiver, obviously, pressure had been applied from the sides.

But once I pushed it down manually, it went back to shape.
2. ICCWorld cleared customs in two days in Mumbai and sent it via Blue Dart. I caled them today morning to get the Blue dart tracking number.
3. The Receiver takes a measly 100watts for most playback. When I drove it hard with a blu ray media and 5.1 speakers, it used up between 100w and 200w. So a 1kva transformer was probably a overkill. 500va would have ben more than enough, maybe 750va just to be safe.
4. The Maxine 1kva was home delivered by Shaw in Bangalore. They have a local rep in Bangalore who delivers and provides warranty. You can call Shaw in chennai to get your local rep in your state. Tried using a voltmeter to measure the output, was a deal 115v all the time. I tried to manually shut of the mains and fall back to the invertor and then switched on the mains again, the voltage fluctuated between 112v and 119v, completely within acceptable limit. :clapping:
