Planning to buy tv from amazon usa

I think H9F is the best budget model (as per rtings). Why not go for it rather than TCL?
not going with any of these man. if i had 1L i'd ve gotten one lg b9 in a heartbeat. anyway see this video and a few more by this guy and to me tcl seemed better than h9f, at least the hdr handling.

Not getting into un-noticeable technicalities on TVs to usual humanoids, which I believe is very subjective or pointless and starts bordering on "audiophile or not" grade discussion. However, I definitely feel that most of us are hypnotized by US papparzzi and treat every thing of US to be superior than that of India.

That is a very prejudiced mindset and will not help take an informed decision. Good luck.

Hi guys,

is it a good choice to get one of vizio, tcl, hisense tv s from amazon usa? It shows "item ships to india" . Any additional cost involved after ordering from amazon? also any suggestion for 55 inchers?
May not be a very good idea... No warranty + most manufactures denies service now a days if its bought outside india + additional service cost + customs charges.
+Since Tv have more fragile components its risky over transport...
+ power adapter additional cost (240v to 140 v)..etc

You can definitely notice contrast levels, peak brightness, viewing angles and local dimming performance, especially in HDR. Not even notice, they are easily measurable. Rtings does that, just like many other good reviewing sites. Objectively, you're indeed being incredibly naive if you think this is unnoticeable, and that's putting it mildly because I have been warned my mods already. Go and buy your cheap TVs. Enjoy them for what they are worth. If you wanna participate, do some basic research first before shedding your gyaan.

Do not know about "everything" but the tv s in discussion here are definitely far far superior than that of india.

And when it comes to hdr it's not a matter of discussion like whether there's a discernable diff between 320kbps mp3 vs 1000kbps flac. HDR is better and a huge deal. everyone can see it, feel it unless there's a medical condition involved .

Totally agree with you. Adding to what you said, consumer rights are far more superior there in US than here. That is why manufacturers/sellers behave with utmost care of the products and services they provide unlike in India where we are taken for a ride most of the time. For example, there some ppl even buy 3 TVs at a time and use them for a week and keep the best and return the other 2. @ rksingh1 needs to do a little homework here. Cheers.

Saw this on a website that tracks sales:

LG Nano 8 Series 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED NanoCell TV with Alexa: $697 on Amazon

Vizio P-Series Quantum 65-inch 4K HDR Smart TV: $898 on Amazon

Check if they have shipping options to India.

please go through the comments and find the ones where we have posted some screenshots of the final cost calculation after adding shipping and duty. it's not worth it.

Oh, I was just suggesting the deals since you were searching for a viable solution.

I'm leaning towards Panasonic gx800 a lot, even though the peak brightness is not that high, but this set apparently has superb tone mapping which compensates for it on a scene by scene basis. Also only tv that supports dolby vision, hdr 10+ and atmos all together. Price as far as i can see online it'll be around 85k for 55inch. Opinions?

The reviews for GX800 from UK or Europe don't apply to the one in India as the Indian one has an IPS panel, while the ones which are being reviewed have a VA panel. Writing this for like the fifth time here.
