please help me to buy a 7.2 AVR in US. I added my choice

Hello All,

Please help me buy a 7.2 AVR in US under $600.
My requirement is 5.2.2 Dolby atmos & Lossless music play with usb.
60% movies and 40% music

I found Denon AVR-X3300W is the only one with 7.2 preouts under $600
Is it a good pick?

Secondary options at half the price ($300) are:
Denon AVR-X1300W &
Yamaha RX-V681BL (amazon best seller, but not sure if it plays lossless music)

These two models don't have all the bells and wistles, They are very quite cheap, but still I get 7.2 Atmos. (I can allot some budget for camera etc)

3rd option is, refurbished AVRs from accessories4less.
I get better models under $300. See the link below and please suggest if any one is a good VFM to buy.

Denon 3300 is a good avr. It is better to look for a 220v model. You could lookup the samstores.com

If you repack the Amp it doesn't require any customs.
I took Denon x3100 from US of 110v, it's working fine with converter from Maxine.(approx &
?3500)
#No problem with customs if repacked

As far as I know, Aventage is a high end series in Yamaha.

Denon-X3300W has more bells & wistles, and it has 7.2 pre-outs, and we can build a really powerful system by adding power amps in future.

How ever....Talking only about the audio quality, does the Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A770BL perform better than Denon -X3300W?

my personal preference would be denon since you would be using it more for movies. the 4300 would be good for both movies and music

I heard another model in AVENTAGE (2030) series.I liked the quality.
As per your budget wise I suggested that 770BL.
Don't have any experience with Denon 3xxx or 4xxx series so no comparison.

As far as I know, Aventage is a high end series in Yamaha.

May be Yamaha uses a specific DAC on Aventage series.. Other brands also use equally competent one..

Don't think you will need a power amplifier for <200 Sqft room, assuming you use efficient speakers..

May be hard to distinguish between the two in terms of sound signature.. But, don't give due weight-age for this factor alone..

You could also look into the latest model of that series: Denon avr-x3400h. It is more or less same as 3300 but with a bit more power.
