LG/ Samsung..should suffice... Don't get carried by the frills and various features...
Ensure you have good cooling and circulation... everything else is almost standard

I was associated with a Korean firm for 4 years sometime ago, and had the opportunity to spend 2 stints of a month each during the employment. As per the 'technical' locals back there in Korea, they had categorically advised the below:

- for TVs, mobile phones, music systems, cameras ... it is Samsung

- for Washing machines, Refrigerators, ACs, MWOs ..... LG

IF choice was to be made between the two brands. This was the case in Korea in .... say, between 1998 to 2008.

In India, since LG is about the only company having an efficient and 'easy to access' after sales service, it makes practical sense to settle for that brand and not lose sleep during equipment breakdowns.

Consider Godrej EON too. One of the best refrigerators in the market (BEE 5 star rated)

In ur budget I suppose u can consider panasonic and hitachi. The finishing and features are top class.

Booked LG GC-B217BPJV for 53K. I loved the Bouquet White finish. I was told LG is better than Samsung for refrigerators. Hmm... not sure, let's see.

^^^ gr8, this is a side-by-side design you have settled for.

Now, for the hard part ..... the width and the depth of the unit is quite a bit. If you have not checked it out till now, how sure are you that the spanking new unit would find an easy access to your home interiors? Standard door width is less than 3', and in case the free space around 3' of that door is not available, one 'might' find it extremely difficult to maneuver the monster of the refrigerator. Only thing left would be be break/dismantle the door frame to get 'it' inside.

I faced this issue with a smaller 440 lit double-door refrigerator. So, watch out ... In case maneuvering is minimum and the path is straight, then you might not face these issues.

For lovers of German technology & associated durability - consider Siemens & Miele. Prices will be way off, though.

The best refrigerator is SHARP. Using it since past 2.5 years and going strong with no issues till date. Good value for money too.
