polk audio tsi500 floor standers,tsi 200 book shelves and cs20 review please, anyone?

i am planning to change my speakers of my audio/video set up from wharfedale sapphire 89 floor standers to polk audio tsi 500[floor standers], surround speakers from bose 301's to polk audio tsi 200[book shelves] and center klipsch kv1 to polk audio cs 20. opinions and suggestions welcome from any one, please.

Polks would sound best for movies, if you are keen on music then you need to skim for other brands.

I don't know about the tsi500 but I compared tsi400 to Polk Rti A3 bookshelves & found the A3 to be much better... But as another poster mentioned there are a lot of other better brands available although Polk is extremely vfm... In this range look at bookshelves as they might give u better value & sound rather than floor standers...

oh,thats news to me, i always thought floor standers had an upper hand than book shelves, thank you for changing my views,please do suggest some brand names.

I use TSi 400s, they sound great for music too...

Good set up (to be). However, see if you can stretch your budget,a little, and go for Rti series. Rti A7 (FS), RTi A1, & CSi A6 as center.

I have Rti A1 + CSi A4..and they are pretty good value for money.

i just changed my surround speakers to polk audio tsi 200, compared to the bose 301's there's a hell lot of a difference. next is the center speaker to polk audio cs 20.

hi friends, I was keen to shift to polk tsi500 for improved music performance. But as I started to read users reviews I am getting contradictory views on their musical ability. Since I have no chance to audition and buy I depend on the user reviews. Pls elaborate if possible in detail on the polks. By the way how do they fare with the mordaunt short aviano 6 compared to the polks. Any ideas. Thanks you

my friend is thinking of getting Bose 201/301 for music.How do they compare with polk Tsi100 & TSi 200 respectively. Also would SONODYNE SIA 310 be good/compatible ?

I have Polk TSi.500 and they are great. You need a big room to get best out of them.For movie you may need a sub. But for music they are Adequate.

Secondly you won't get great clarity with MP3's.
Grills are flimsy.
You will not be disappointed .

hello all, i recently purchased a polk audio cs 20 center speaker and had to re sell it another friend of mine because it was too bright for my liking. i have a yamaha rxv 1400 amp,polk and yamaha doesnt make a good pair. i think wharfedales are good for yamaha.

Yes, Polks pair nicely with Denon and Harman and not with Yamaha...
