Please share the feedback of your model. I want to know if it can play mkv files via USB.
Sony is not good for playing USB videos. samsung plays more USB formats if not all.

Today inquired about the following 32 inch LCD TV models in Hyderabad

Hi rupam,
not sure if EX400 plays the mkv files or not but BX420 surely does and without a hitch, so far i have played avi and mkv files both played without a problem from the usb ( not heavy files both were around 800 mb)

Are you sure the Sony lcds play MKV,because the I-manual in the tv doesn't mention MKV.
I am absolutely sure it plays the mkv format, because i have seen the movie myself

The screenshot says DD2.0 audio playback. Can you try DD5.1 and DTS5.1 audio content in HD MKVs? It should atleast have option to pass through the optical output (does it have one?)

I believe you ,i also downloaded the manual apart from BX420 the BX320 also plays them.
Well the funny thing is i checked the EX420 and EX520 in the showroom it wasn't able to play MKV which had a file size of 50MB.It had the X-reality processor.
Is yours from the grey market ,how much did it cost.

Yes you get samsung LED but no plasmas and AFAIK no LG/panasonic lcds/plasmas.

you do get plasma's in the grey market, when i was there to pickup my lcd there was this 65" ( not sure of the size, but huge) plasma for around 80k, but mostly u get sony's and some samsung, never seen a lg....
