Well i asked for 40EX720 they said its 73k.So a 46" should be 93k.

If you buy it in chennai grey should be about 5k cheaper and more cheaper if the size is big.the bangalore grey dealers buy them from chennai it comes to b'lore via train,so freight charges+dealer profit..

Also they price it a bit high so that they can get rid of the 2010 stock.

Kittu, I think if you are going plasma the VT25 would still be a good choice unless you could wait for another 4-5 months for the new VT. Like Shaiju said look for a good deal on it.

The Samsung D8000 plasmas too seem pretty decent as per initial reviews though they have higher MLLs in Cinema Smooth(without CS-0.008 and with CS 0.012). This is true for the 64 incher. Such levels are pretty close to Panasonic's best except the VT30 possibly

Black levels are however lower in all modes in 51 inch models as per one such review

Hey kittu. Initial owner feedbacks indicate Panasonic GTs are superb. Samsung D7000//8000 LED-LCD have received 5 of 5 stars in any and every review. It is a different matter that WhatHiFi reduced a star from D8000 once they reviewed D7000. You have got to read the reason why... pathetic.

Samsung similar series Plasmas are good too. 64" D8000 has a great price. Guess it is time to replace PK550

Wonder how many us use calibration tools to worry about 0.008 vs. 0.012. Dont' even notice much difference without a side-by-side comparision.

Are you sure the price is for 46".

Sony won't give such high discount, it's always within ~10% unless I am wrong.
