Guys,
In the latest budget, import duty on the electronic products has been increased. This means that the electronics manufactured outside India will become expensive. On the other hand, components will attract minimal duty. This will encourage companies to assemble products locally.
Based on this move, Will it affect and what will be the new Tv prices? (bigger than 20" & above).
Any thoughts?

IMO the as 410d is a no nonsense LED tv from panasonic with brilliant PQ.in my 2 months of usage i have come to realise that this TV is basically designed for people like me who want a 50incher without any usual smart or 3d features for simple TV viewing pleasure nad AFAIK it is cheaper than its rivals be it LG or samsung.

I doubt if sellers can sell at any rate...for me, though price agreed was 58K for 700B, Seller still generated the invoice for 64,900...with mention of amount received as 58K....and then they just write "U/E" on the invoice to signify Under Exchange...to my understanding, there is mandate that they cant sell SONY models at below prescribed amounts.

Same logic was also given to me by 1-2 dealers, who were not willing to go down on price...stating "Sir, even if we wish, we cannot sell you SONY at lesser price...else our license may get revoked"...

I asked for the price of Sony 48W600B.In the showroom, they said they will give me for 82k. i asked for the price in one of the biggest dealer here in Kochi.He told me"there is a market price beyond which we cant go down for Sony" and he allso quoted the same 82k.

polk audio tsx 440T was being quoted at Rs 39000 by the same dealer. any better deal or better speaker at the same price point for matching PM6005
