PS3, XT50, HT XH170 >> How to get PS3 sound in XH170

Hi All,

I use PS3 to play BD's. Now, I have XT50 and free HT which is XH170.

Now, please suggest how can I connect 3 in such a way that BD sound can reach HT.

Hmm....Would ARC be of help and if yes, how?

My idea is : PS3 > HDMI> Plasma
Plasma> HDMI Port 2 > HT ( Use ARC)

connection seems correct.
follow ht and tv manual how to activate ARC.

why not using optical output of ps3 into optical input of your ht system....it shoud work.you have to buy a optical cable

I really faced the same kind of problem as of yours. I solved it using s a Digital Cable TOSLINK. I tried with ARC but ARC won't really work as you are trying to get sound from one HDMI to other HDMI port. ARC should work for internal TV Tuner and something you are playing through USB and for that you need HDMI 1.4v cable too.

Connect your PS3 to TV Using Component. Connect youre TV and XH170 with a Digital Cable. Change XH170 input to D-IN using EXT-IN. Voila !!! you will now get your PS3 sound into your HTiB. Adjust your TV sound to output PCM. This setup will help you to get your STB sound also through your HTiB.

Please remember that I asked you to connect using component so that you can connect your HTiB to TV using second HDMI(as XT50 have only 2 HDMI port and I believe first one is used for STB) to fully utilise Viera Link.
