its time for me to change my speakers ,so as the title suggest which one to buy in q acoustics 2000 floorstander series or hsu speaker package or what is the price for usher 5.0 speaker package and monitor audio silver and bronze 5.0 ....

n this same tweeter known as the ring radiator is featured on a lot of top end models

first of all you ll have to decide what u want to go for
just high sound output or high sound out put all togther with pressure and proper sound dynamics in other words this will decide the size of ur speakers
and thus the nmber of drivers and the quality per channel etc

secondly diy speakers that i would recommed you should feature the best tweeters but as per a persons personal taste the tweeters to be used can be either soft domes or metal domes

soft domes sound more smooth and detailed
some prefer aluminium or metal domes just because they prefer a metallic sound quality or a very high clarity at lower volumes but these can somtimes sound harsh and cause fatigue to CERTAIN listners at higher volumes

and same is the case with selecting other drivers i mean mids and woofers

plz let me know what speakers have you auditioned and do you like the polks and also what kind of av reciever and other dsp's or amps you have

but i think its pure foolishness to driver wach driver in each speaker with a mc intosh amp as it seems

Ps : i auditioned mcintosh amps they sound good but not spectacular for the price and space they take
