I have a consulting assignment coming up in Saudi Arabia this week and was wondering what I can think of bringing from there. Fresh dates come to mind, is there anything else, available relatively easily, that I can get? Any suggestions welcome.

TIA

Yes, Dates are too good there especially the dates with chocolate, yummy.. If you like perfumes they have the local perfume without alcohol which has a distinct smell. You can also get some antiques. Electronics, gold and all are very cheap as there is no VAT. Try Jarir Bookstore. Strange name but they have all electronic goods, speakers, amps, laptops etc...There is one in Riyadh and they have many branches..Good luck with your trip

Looks like the visa is not coming in time to go as per schedule, I got a call last evening telling me that it may not happen..Will know today if its happening or not.

No it didnt happen..Cant say I'm sorry. I was actually looking forward more to bringing in a couple of duty free bottles on my way back( and maybe some of those dates!)

But I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the chance this time to bring in those duty-free bottles and dates :D

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
