Rare gramophones-radiograms-records

[ANILKUMAR]

I felt elated, when I did find the 78 RPM recorded disc sung by " Miss. Subbulakshmi (Madurai)"[M.S. SUBBULAKSHMI later] at the age of 12 or 16, recorded in 1932 and released by TWIN label. The surprising part, the record is in ABSOLUTE MINT condition, wrapped in its original TWIN cover .

It has become almost rare to get IRs Malayalam Records.

To my knowledge, Tharangini released only Audio Tapes for panjagni and Nakhakshathangal.
Anyway I will double-check....

Hane-Shyam is the short form for Haneef Hane Sham, from whom I got these records. He puts his Seal in all his records

I recently renovated a Philips Radiogram . What motivated me was the uniqueness of the radio. The radio was a bi-ampli radio . It has two speakers but one of them has an impidedence of 800 ohms and the wires go directly from the transformer. The sound is loud and clear. The volume carries the sound to much longer distance than usual valve radios. This inspired me to build it up to it's past glory. The record player is a Garrard Changer. I will post pictures of it before renovation and after. It was renovated with a lot of efforts and labour of love for it.

Jacob sir i too have one radiogram for service. The outer shell is perfect and so is the garrard changer. Need to service the amp . Philips Bi amp. Could you help me by sending the mechanic to coimbatore.

To my knowledge, Tharangini released only Audio Tapes for panjagni and Nakhakshathangal.
Anyway I will double-check....

It has no FM. You cannot listen to magnetic cartridge through this Radiogram
