Reusing Sony DAV-DZ370's speaker?

Hi,

I have Sony DAV-DZ370 5.1 home theater system, I have been using this from past three years, recently I have purchased PS3 but I can not connect PS3 to this Sony HT as it do not have HDMI input:sad:.
Is it possible to reuse speakers from this HT and connect to AV receiver?

Please suggest me on this.

Also if I can reuse the speakers then with which AV receiver shall I go? My budget is around 30k, I would like to use it mostly for gaming and movies.

Your system had Optical in and PS3 has optical out.

So, you need not buy an AV Receiver, existing setup would work with an optical cable and would provide 5.1 output.

If you do buy an AVR, these speakers will work but there are two issues:

1. Subwoofer would not work with AVR since this is a "passive" subwoofer and gets power from system itself. You will have to buy a new subwoofer.
2. Spec do not mention impedece (ohms), if speakers are 4 ohms or less this would cause problems for AVR.

Since you have a budget of 30K, buy an HTIB like Onkyo 3500 or 3400. No need to use the sony speakers.
