Congratulations! How about some pics please
GR8 to see someone finally buy an LG Plasma.. have seen 42PA4520 and it looked good... didnt find it different from another Full HD model from 8-10 ft.
Have also seen couple of more LG models 50PA6500 & Pentouch - found them decent as well. Congrats again...:clapping:
Thanks Rajat and RG1.
Am pretty happy with the TV. The colour rendition is, IMO, not as good as the samsungE470, but in all other aspects this just kicks ass. The clarity is just amazing, will try and post a pic of the TV playing a Potter film (dvd rip) from the USB. You can count the weave on the curtain behind in a scene. Just love it. Fully beginning to appreciate what HD is now. (my earlier CRT tv had component input)
Am being careful for the first 100 hrs as recommended by some people for plasmas and running her on low contrast and brightness setting.
The sound is good, not great.. will need a proper sound amplifier and speakers added to it at some point.
The fit and finish is outstanding though.
My Seagate 1TB HDD has one USB cable only. Newer disks no longer require separate USB for power. There could be other limitations that may prevent support of such a disk.Tigerstyle9
Congrats for your new purchase. Your tv wont support 1 TB HDD because you have only 1 USB.
WD Passport 1TB HDD with USB Y cable needs atleast 2 USB (one USB for power and the other USB for data).
Try with friends HDD's which has external power supply. Hope this might work.
Hi Guys
I finally went and bought the LG pa4520.
Just one day down, so hardly anything to share in terms of feedback/review... but the picture quality is amazing. A friend who has a 40inch Sony bravia came over and was sure the pic quality is better on the plasma.
More when i experience it fully.
cheers
I'm glad you picked plasma over LED............good choice!!!
