Samsung 3D TV vs LG 3D TV

I think it differs from person to person on whether they get an headache when watching 3D. I regularly watch 3D movies in theaters and have never got a headache, whereas my friend gets it every time.

Here's a good article on how to avoid 3D eyestrain.
Today3D: Basic rules to avoid 3D eyestrain

The article makes an important point on how kids don't get headache when they watch 3D. :)

"You will not find many kids complaining about 3D eyestrain. There are few reasons for that, but the most important one is that they grow up into 3D and they do not need to learn how to watch it."

Why all those options. Just simply get a Samsung 51E550, you wont find a better and bigger alternative for that price. Otherwise it is if you have more money then get a Panasonic 50ST50... These 2 trump almost every 3D LED TV in the market except Sony HX929 and Samsung ES8000.

Hi All,

I am searching for good LED 3D tv I have seen LG 42LM6410 it cost 89k with 4 passive glass, inbuild wifi , and non fliker screen.... Please suggest which one I should select LG or Samsung... Please reply soon... :yahoo:http://www.hifivision.com/images/smilies/yahoo.gif
Consider this ... passive 3D is more comfortable than active 3D ... note that I do not say which is technically better as that is for you to decide.

But also consider that your 3D usage is likely to be less than 5%. That is, what are you going to watch on 3D? There are no 3D channels and only a handful of good 3D movies. How long will you keep watching movies? After all, you will watch TV channels 80% of the time.

So my point is, do not buy a TV because of 3D or smart apps or networking, browser, You Tube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. All these are only something that is extra and over and above. Base your decision on one factor only - the TV is mean to display video and hence the video picture quality alone should decide what TV you should buy. I am not saying LG is better or Samsung is better. But what you should do is as follows:

- Fix a budget that you will not exceed, no matter what
- Look at all models in that price range
- Look at all brands such as Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, Philips, Panasonic and not just LG and Samsung
- Compare the picture quality of all in a multi-brand showroom
- Decide which you (and you alone with family) like best
- Get the quotes and haggle with the price; get as much discount as possible
- Buy

From my point of view both are good and very well known brands, lg cinema 3d tv sets are providing much better experience than the samsung 3d tv sets even samsung is continously trying to offering lots of new features that could definitely change the future of tv technology. Well i am not an owner of any of these two brand but still want to suggest you that if you are looking to buy a new tv set then must check out some factors like brand, specification, size of the tv, price and connectivity with other devices.

well rather then pros and cons of the smart 3d tv sets its better to check what screen size you want and how much time you will spend on watching 3d on the tv and after that you can check out the picture quality and then price difference between 2d tv vs 3d tv. Well i am using sony bravia which is good at color performance and also provides wide viewing angles for high definition picture quality and yes how can i forget to tell you that sony is the most popular for their picture and sound quality.
