Samsung 40" LCD showing Lines

Yes, and have gone through issue with both. Ultimately, now I do not buy the TV if brand is not offering 3 year warranty (free or paid).

I think this concept of buying new TV's every 2-3 year in the name of advanced technology may not go well with Indian consumer. All companies should take note of this before its too late.
If consumers get united and hits back at companies then they will not a space to cover their face.

I must disagree with you, unless if somebody is forcing you to buy a new TV at a point blank :)

Everybody look for a new model when they go into market to buy a particular thing. I have not seen any reason, why they would buy an old model for the same price that somebody bought 2 or 3 years ago. Also the old model not necessarily the cheaper to manufacture, so the companies look for cheaper and better designs. Because of this the engineers are getting better opportunities and of course better salaries. Unless we spend, it is difficult for companies to fund their R&D.

One of the reasons I think for US doing well is they spend what they earn, so that they can run R&D well.
