no its not a full HD. in fact its not even HD.
this plasma is available at many online sites for rs. 33000/- with samsung india warranty. chances are that you will find it in showrooms too.
do not buy until u have read the spec.
The panel resolution is 850x480 or 480p:eek:. what a shame.
gullible buyer may buy thinking its an HD TV.
below is the spec.

850x480 is also called as EDTV (Extended Definition) and is supposed to be best for watching 16:9 DVDs or watching 16:9 DTH signals. (non-HD) as there is no upscaling required. If anyone who is more interested in watching good SD Cable signal and also 16:9 SD material this will best bet.

Remember, HD signal is no only about high resolution, but its also about Data Bandwidth, colour spectrum, detailed information and overall sharpness.

From a distance of 6-8 feet you will hardly notice difference (although there is) between this and FHD screen of 40 inches size. Go and check it out.

This type of display is primarily used for displaying show panels at public places (outdoor Advertising, Close circuit Displays at seminars etc) where these displays are watched at a longer distances by people and there is no need to show minute details in the picture

Avoid this TV for home use. If you are on a budget go for cheap LCDs from videocon / toshiba or the likes

Or you could buy 43D450 - HD resolution - for 25.5K from grey market. Amazing picture quality, IMO beats the pants off LEDs priced much higher.
