Samsung 48HU8500 Need Help

Dear Experts,

Need your urgent help.

We had placed order for Samsung 48HU8500 from EZONE.

The product has been delivered today 15th July. But we are 100% sure that the product is a display piece. as the repacking cello tapes indicates the display product has been repacked and sent to us.

We have not yet opened the package for installation. Please help how we can verify this and check the usage hours.

Is it possible to reset the usage hours to zero assuming the store might have done the reset if it is possible.

Your urgent reply will be very helpful.

I cna't say how to check usage hours on the Samsung 48HU8500 as I don't own one :'( But what I can suggest you is that when a technician from Samsung come to set up the TV, ask him to show the usage hours. The store people can never reset the time to 00:00:00 so it will definitely show something. Even fresh piece seldom shows 00:00:00 as they test the displays before packaging although it won't be more than 1-2 hrs if not less. But a display unit will show much more than that. You can take a screenshot of it and ask eZone to replace that with a fresh unit.

Hi,

Since we were very sure that the product delivered to us is display piece, based on the repacking visible to us, we asked the ezone bangalore store to give us in writing (with serial numbers of the product) that product is a fresh piece. To which they were disturbed and did not do so.

Further we escalated the issue to Samsung Supervisor (available on Customer Care Number) and Ezone All India Customer Care Incharge (priya @ futuregroup.in).

Within 48 hours the product was replaced with a brand new sealed piece(with Month and year of Manufacture as July 2014) by the Ezone Store Manager.

Further we are expecting the service person to do the installation tomorrow.

How did you get a hint that it was a demo piece? Not many people care for the packaging.
