Samsung 5500 audio delay problem...

Hey guys.. I have searched a bit regarding this issue.. No specific help on the Internet..

I have a Samsung 5500 plasma tv.. When I try to play a video file(brrip mkv) via usb I get a audio video lag.. In few videos the audio lags and in few otherwise.. So here is how I went about analyzing the issue

1. Assuming the problem was due to the audio processing by the avr (pioneer_ connected via optical out) i turned it off to get the tv audio - no difference

2. Assuming it was due to the optical output.. I used audio return channel thro hdmi.. No help there...

3. Assuming it was the problem with video.. I downloaded ten clips... Played them simultaneously on my laptop and checked.. Only 2 or 3 videos had the problem on the laptop playback..

4. Assuming it was probably a slow usb (2.0) drive I tried with 3.0 also...

5. Finally copied single files and tried...

No solution..

Am I the only one? A colleague has picked it up yesterday.. Planning to visit his home tomorrow to cross check.. If anyone has the time and patience.. Please let me know..

Well...in your pioneer amp, their should be an option of a/v delay which can be set at MIlliseconds. Try to match the audio with the video via this option.
I have an onkyo amp n it's fed via optical input...n it has this option if one feels there is a A/v lag.
Other than this...I think u have already tried everything, n is this happening since day 1 or started happening only recently ?

Check your manual for the audio/video delay adjustment feature.

Also did you check the audio-video - delay settings. Go into that menu and change it and see if you can get it in sync. May be you also want to check with setting to 50ms for the audio delay.

check your tv sound settings, we have an option of delay settings there as well.

Hey guys.. Thanks for the inputs.. I have tried the audio delay option.. The problem is the audio is delayed.. There is no option to make the audio to come ahead.. I'm trying with new downloads.. Will keep u posted..
