Sennheiser PX100 ii at 60% discount!!

Koss Porta Pro is way better than the Senn PX100. available in the US for approx INR 2k ($33):

Did you hear the porta pros yourself?
It is same league as Px100. You gain some and lose some. Difference is not night and day.

yes i have heard it, Koss and then Senn back to back, and from the same source- my phone.! Wanted to buy one o them during my recent trip to Dusseldorf. Found the sound on Koss PP more refined. Only the bass/low freq is not as highlighted as PX100, but over all i liked the sound better. (Didn't buy either that time cos found the prices much higher than Indian prices and bought the univ. remote instead.! 36 for Koss PP and 34 for Senn PX-100, now i realize i should ve bought the Koss PP then )
Also tried Skullcandy Lowrider S5LWCZ recently here in Mumbai, one of my friends had just bought it @ INR 1800, again not on par with Koss PP or the PX100 in sound quality.

I do have the Porta-Pro, just was wondering how would PX100 compare to it. I like the porta-pro although it gets kind of uncomfortable to my outer ears as it presses on it. Even at the lighter settings of the headphone it pains if I wear it for about an hour. But sound quality wise it's really good.

I have heard HD180 and it is junk (no offense).
Px100 is light years ahead.

Px100II is almost same as Px100. There will NOT be fakes as these came out very recently.
If you can put up with the white color and are ok with chords in both sides (and of course if they are original), px100 is a better bargain.

I, however will get a black PX100ii by spending 1000 more. Dont like white myself.

If you want a completely different league of sound though, get the HD 238 for 4k.

BLASTO, cushion pads of my PX100 that has served for more than 3 years are now getting torn real bad (on sides).. where can I get replacement? Or should I buy this white one? The eBay site says seller is away till 26th and will nor process orders till then... Thoughts ?

BTW, how does PX100 compares to Koss Portra-Pro? I'm just thinking if I can get the PX100 as the price is very tempting But somehow I'm not very comfortable of the white color..

just came across this review about px100 by some audiophile on amazon and was wondering how much do they analyse the sound.. I mean , I can perceive the difference in quality.. But this is just amazing.. Can someone explain even what these terms mean??

These should fit PX100 as well (because my KSC75 pads do fit PX80). But, quality would be a concern.

no, i did not pay for it as it was covered under warranty. i just checked them to know how much would i have had to pay for it in case.
