Where did your source the Mutec Ref10 from? I'm looking at adding a Ref10 Nano.

@Nikhil They are acrylic afaik from sound foundations. It’s a heavy and solid rack. Very stable and It worked for me vs a solid steel rack.

AES always sounds better than USB to me. If you can live with a single sample rate, say 44.1 or 48, try some pro gear such as Motu 8D or Dante, you will most probably be surprised with what you are going to hear.

Thanks for the headsup on the Motu devices. Iam completely new to Pro gear. Just curious if the Motu 8D acts like a DDC that is easier for most of us to understand, that is USB input with various digital outputs. Or is it like a multichannel dac. Read up on their page, but mention of Midi and ADAT went over my head

Yeah, these pro gears look scary but they aren't. Once you get the purpose, your mind will start helping in sequencing the dots.

It isn't a DAC but just a multi-channel DDC however; we will be using just the two channels.

You will load the software onto a Win or Mac that will let you map USB in to AES out and you are set. The reason I pointed out single sample rate because the unit cannot change the sample rate based on the source but simply up/down sample according to situation.

Also, keep in mind that since this comes with its own SMPS, so, comes with SMPS vs LPS conundrum and yes, LPS takes the performance to next higher level.
