Showcase Your Turntable

Hello Friends,

Can anybody recognize model of this HMV Player?

Best Regards,
Selvin

It certainly is a Japanese player badged as HMV. I know the Japanese player but I am not able to place it just now. I think it's a Pioneer model

This is most certainly an EMI Sonic Turntable, sold by HMV in the 1980s packaged with a 50-50 stereo amplifier with a 5-band graphic equalizer and multiple driver speaker units. This would have been around 1981. If I recall correctly from my childhood, the turntable was a re-badged Pioneer.

Has anybody heard a Sonodyne turntable ? I heard it once and it was very nice. But I have seen another one after that.

Correct. This is a Japanese HMV badged player. Inside the player one sticker is there and saying that 16V DC Motor, Made in Japan in May 1981.

Got Technics SL23 from FM Kuruvila Jacob.

Was a very nice interaction..

Thank you sir !

I enjoyed giving the instructions on how to use a TT for the first time and could hear your excitement when the analogue sound came on for the first time through your speakers. Let me wish you a good analogue days ahead.

Finally got my turntable.

Some fancy camerawork with my mobile cam to beautify it.
It's an entry level JVC turntable. Belt drive, Straight tonearm, P mount Cartridge. But got it as a bundle deal with a very nice collection of LP's.

Can't turn up the volume up now because of the feedback. Still playing around with it!

Congrats greenhorn. P mounts cartridges are good. No hassle of alignment etc. Plug and play. I had one Sansui TT. Cartridge had pretty tight and nice fitting. It's peace of mind, considering audiophiles go the extreme length of alignment and stuff.
Regards
