Simple two channel set up for 40K or less

Hi!
Am looking to build a bedroom system for classical ,jazz ,etc. Book shelves plus stereo amp would be fine. Can add a source later or maybe connect a DVD player.
All advice would be highly appreciated.

Hifimart has good deals on Marantz amps. You can even consider their slimline AV 1502/1602. Will give you flexibility if you ever want video later

Marantz amplifier + wharfedale bookshelf speakers (either 9.1/9.2/10.1/10.2) are a well known combo. The same set of wharfedales can also be paired with the Norge 2060/1000 amplifier and are a popular combination here.

If you are buying bookshelves, also invest in some good quality speaker stands - will be well worth the investment.
