Sir Garrard 401 has Arrived!!

Gents - Been a while since I posted an update on this thread. I have now installed a 9" Rega Arm on the 401 and quite like the results. Been using the 401 quite often these days as compared to the 1200s. Looking at a multilayered plinth sometime soon or even a slate plinth. Any one in Bangalore wants to join?

Great to see you back RP :yahoo:

RP,

Good to see you back after sometime. I am in the process of bringing a very good condition 401 from UK.

I am looking at getting a multilayer plinth made preferably with marine ply.

Cheers

I am targeting December to get my rig up and running. Its been neglected for quite some time. Have my bro's SP10 doing duty currently whenever I am at home (as a visitor these days). My 401 is a NOS older version with switchable strobe. Understand that its a rare version but not really sure. Somehow after using it for some time, I miss the strobe light burning all the time :).

Need to invest in a good pair of speakers, Altecs may be :)

Im back from another Vinyl Sabbatical :). My vinyl listening sessions are always on, was just away from the forum. I intend to spend some regular time on the forum now.

So now, just the other day I have setup Sir Garrard 401 with a Rega Arm. Im so glad I've decided to retail the 401, after all Sir Garrad is a Legend and I've put so much effort in bringing this down from the UK. Setup sounds lovely to me. Some classy pictures coming up shortly.
