SMSL SA-98E 160W x 2 TDA7498E Class-T Digital Amplifier

Hi !

There is some problem with my current DIY amp and I'm looking for a compact amp to temporarily replace it.
I saw this one at amazon with good reviews and I'm wondering if its a good choice for me.

My source is my pc and I plan to use it with my pc's ups as this one is a very efficient amp. The speakers I have is Magnat monitor supreme 1000 floor standers.

So, what do you guys say ?

I have their DAC is nice for the budget, havent heard this one. The SMSL build quality seems to be better compared to the other chinese counterparts

Yeah, I heard a lot of good things about them.

The big reason to go for a class d amp is power constraints. We do have a 5 to 15 minute power failure every day and I don't want to shut the pc down.

I tiried Amazon.com and ebay.com (paypal) and both deal failed with the same error message, "card holder has denied the transaction".
I can understand why amazon.com failed but paypal... ?

When I created the paypal account they deducted 1 dollar in an instant but now, its not happening.
I don't have a PAN card and haven't added it in the paypal account...is this the reason ?

Have had this same problem with paypal, better call up paypal cusytomer care, they helped me out of this, heard it was some currency mismatch problem (default settings was USd and I was trying to transact in GBP)

Ok, I called paypal just now and they are saying that my bank, canara bank requires other websites to use their authentication or Verified with visa authentication which paypal doesn't support.

one last try call up your bank and verify if they support international transactions (this bypasses VBV) and also unless you have never transacted online if online-transactions are enabled. This is a common problem.

I couldn't call them from my phone..don't know why !!

BTW,
I found two deals in OLX.

1. Marantz PM 25 for 7.5k
2. Yamaha AX 490 for 8k

Are they good amplifiers ?
How do they compare against an LM3886 "gainclone" stereo DIY amp ?

Ok, I made an lm3886 based amp using the kit from Bibin (diyaudiostore) and it sounds pretty nice !

Now on to building a pre-amp !!

What to do ?
