After some research from this forum I have bought sony hx800.initially my choice was Panasonic 50vt20d but I play lot of games with playstation.watch movies in parts means I wil pause for morethan hour sometimes. Keeping all this in my mind I hav moved to Sony.the offer with Sony is very good.the offer with Sony is 9 3d blu ray titles ,Sony s470 3d bluray player , pair of 3d glasses ,hdmi cable,3d emitter all this for a price of 1.39L .I have taken this from Raghu Chandra enterprises near rtc cross roads ,Hyderabad.

One of the forum member has given the address of that dealer I should sply thank him.

Do post your detailed experience with the set. All aspects - 2D, 3D, HD, audio etc. I'll be grateful.

I am in the process of buying 46/47" TV, latest by mid Feb or so. (Some forum members have spooked me into thinking about a replacement for the Sony coming in Feb.)

What was the best rate and "deal" that you were getting for the Panasonic? If you have actually seen the TV, how was the experience?

How are the LG9500? or the Samsung sets?

For Panasonic 50vt the best price I got is 1.55L with a pair of 3d glasses and one year warranty .the picture clarity is a little bit more in panny when compared to Sony.but for 3d the effect is same. I have also seen some samsung and lg models but the 3d effect is very bad in lg led tv.in samsung 3d emitter is built in and USB can play major formats.when compared to Sony the 3d effect is low.Sony 3d glasses are very good. The Sony wil change this model in may in usa after three months it wil come to India the upgrade model you wil get integrated wifi and motion flow of 420hz these to make no difference for me.

So no upgrade to the Sony models by Feb.? (But I would expect some kind of upgrades with the World Cup and all!).

Do post your experience with this TV, I might just buy it!!

I think you wil get some spl offers for Sony but no upgrade because Sony launched this model oct 2010 in India after a year you wil get a new model.you can get complete details of new model 46hx820 in ces 2011 awards. There Sony has announced it wil launch this model in may in usa. That means in sept or oct in India .if you are not in a hurry wait till Diwali you get new model and spl offers.

Wait for 10 months for a spl offer or a price drop and loose all the fun..... naah it aint worth... but you can wait till 2011 ces models are out in the market... :)

Sony 46HX800 now costs 123900/- (MRP) with 2pairs of glasses, 9 3-D titles and 3-D blu ray player. 30000/- price drop. WOW!!!

I think I will finalise this today. 4" extra + the other goodies

Any advise? How is the performance sandy7?

From where are you getting all those freebies with TV ? Nothing on Sony website

Check under promotions. Also talk to any dealer.

Definitely get a discount too if not buying from Sony exclusive/brand shop.

Yes I talked to the dealer.....1.18L with all freebies... :yahoo:... but will wait till HX820 hits the market.

I had a talk with my dealer, he has advised me to wait till 10th Feb., as they have a dealer meet from 7-9 Feb., to finalise the World Cup deals or new launches (maybe HX820? Nah!! not before the USA).

Anyway, will wait till 10th, otherwise have already told him to finalise the 46HX800!!

From the US launch dates the HX820 will be launched in May its only the EX series that will hit the showrooms in feb.Last year the 2010 models very launched around the same time as US.

So most probably no change in 3-D TVs?

Maybe they will offer the PS3 package like they do in the USA? (Better VFM than simple 3D Bluray). Let's see.

Yes!! That is exactly the package they are giving in the USA (with3-D LED TVs).

PS3 with 2 pair specs, 2 titles of Games, 3 Tiles 3D Blu Ray Discs. The PS3 has a free firmware update available from Sony to convert it to a 3D capable Blu Ray player.

Amazing??

(If wishes were horses!!)

Sony goofed up once and gave a 40" or so lcd free with Ps3 a few years ago,it was soon corrected and made vice versa but i believe they had to honor the goofed up offer.

Similar offer is on for one model of Sony in the middle east as well. Check out http://www.jumbocorp.com/prd_listing.asp?bbrd=14&bcat=141.
