Sony 47" W800A vs Sony 46"W950A

We cannot compare W800 to W950. Panel hardware is totally different.

It is not the image processing, or some magic trick which will make the panels better, it has to be truly built better from the ground up and should use hardware components which are better built across the board. W9 panel has triluminous color filter based on quantum dot technology and local dimming led's which W800 does not have.

So for best picture you can either have Panasonic Plasma's or Sony W950/W900. Rest will deliver good but not breathtaking PQ.

Hey guys,

Is there detailed info available for as to what effect each of the Motion Control option has on the picture output?

Because one thing that i have noticed is, With this setting off, there is a clear lag.
With the wrong setting on, the picture is smooth but un-natural which just kills it.
So there has to be a right setting that solves the issue of motion blur + lag and also provides natural looking scenes.

I connected my 2TB HDD and BDRips are amazing quality. I changed the Scene settings to Movie for better movie experience. and 3d demo videos are mind blowing

I connected to Lan. Youtube and other SEN content working very well.

Hi,
I have bought SONY W950A last week. I am unable to check the TV usage hours. I could not find any Display button on the remote to proceed further (Display --> 5-->Volume(-)). I need urgent help because I seriously doubt that it might be the display unit.

In both my 2007 its vol+ and 2011 tvs it is Vol-.

But pressing vol+ shows the panel make or model.

i tried vol+ on 850a ..it didn't work and sales guys in 3-4 stores have no idea how to check and some claimed its impossible to check .. than came back home did some googling and threads here .. found out its vol- .. it worked on 850a ..

brought 850a today .. tried to trade free head phone to ps3 .. :lol: .. not worked .. not sure what to do with 13k head phones ... any where i can sell it? i prefer using my 350 rs phillips head phone

even I tried to trade them off for 3D bluray player but didn't work.also the sound in headphones is mediocre.for looks they look hungamous.pity that sony didn't provide a travel pouch to live with it.cant find a suitable pouch for travel in Sony centre,reliance digital.:sad:

There is no 900A in 46 inches. If its 950A you are mentioning, then a Lakh to Lakh minus 5 k
