Sony Bravia HX850 Reviews

The actual picture quality is atleast 50% better than the pic and i am not kidding about it. I dont want to fight with anyone over which technology is better but i am very very happy with Sony HX850 LED. The clarity is awesome. I know why this tv is getting 5 stars everywhere. In the end to each his own and what matters is what you are happy with and not what is better. I think all Sony LEDs are very good in picture quality.
Please all LED haters tell us what's wrong with these pictures..so before commenting about leds do a reality check..getting a plasma don't give u the privilege to comment crap about leds.

I got the bluray of dark knight too..and black level is really superb...and what to tell about planet earth bluray..color reproduction is so natural...people not gonna believe until they got one..also u got x-reality pro...

I think The Dark Knight Bluray is a must have for all the action movie lovers.. It is one of the best movies and in bluray it really shows the clarity.. Everybody should buy what they feel is right for them but in brighter rooms LEDs have a advantage according to me.

I am surely buying this TV Only. My Dad said we can go for Samsung and save a few bucks but I said its either Sony or none.:ohyeah:

BTW, wanted to get your views on the size factor. Is 40" a good size? My viewing distance would be approx 7-8 feet.
Would 46" be a huge benefit over 40" coz its just 5 inches wider.:indifferent14:

Lol good decision bro.. 40inch is a good size and it solves my purpose very well.. My viewing distance is not more than 7-8 feet.. Bigger is always better but it also depends on your viewing distance.. Bigger tv with not much viewing distance can hurt the eye.. I was also confused whether to go for Sony HX850 40inch or Sony HX750 46inch and in the end i bought Sony HX850 40inch because 40inch was sufficient for my room and monolithic design looks really good..You should choose between Sony HX850 & HX750 and you can also take a look at Sony NX650 & EX650 and Panasonic plasmas.. My advise is go for either Sony HX850 or HX750 but rest is upto you.. Hope this helps.. Tc.

Thanks for your suggestions Bro:)

Even I have zeroed down on these 2 models only i.e 40" HX850 and 46" HX750.

But then I saw a lot of issues being reported by the HX750 users with regards to poor screen uniformity, clouding and black levels. HX850 on the other hand has a lot of happy buyers including you.;)
So I now think, there's no point going for a higher size if the TV would only give an average performance. I will just sit closer.

I cannot consider Plasma as the TV would be mostly placed on a wall directly opposite a window.

I think Sony HX750 is not a bad tv at all. Its just that Sony HX850 is better but that doesnt mean HX750 is bad. Go have a demo of both and see which one do you like. Even if you buy HX750 you wont regret it and if you watch in a brighter room black levels will be good and screen uniformity/clouding will also be less visible. For me now that i have got the wooden board installed tv is more closer to me so for me 40inch is perfect. Hope this helps. Btw the wooden board cost me around 4000/- with polish ( i dont know the exact but this is the max cost of that) :)

aks can u somehow measure the power requirement of your tv...it's very wrong to report that cause led is rated as 115W it gonna consume 115w same time.
I have measured my tv power requirement(rated 99W) using apc ups..at the time of playing file from hard disk drive it requires 30-46w, playing disk from bluray player 56-70w..my backlight setting is 5...obviously backlight setting of 5 is very bright for even well lit room...I just don't understand why people posting false info deliberately in some other thread..
