Sony has launched EX720 TV. It is probably the lowest priced 3D TV in India just now with built-in 3D transmitter.
Needs help from friends. They are not supplying 3D glasses. It is optional. What is it's price? How good are they , the existing 3D glasses? Is this a good deal-40EX720 at 76000/-? Members who own 3D tvs please share their opinion. I have read one German review posted here. It was positive. Thanks. The wall mounts are also listed as optional. Details of the TV are at the sony website.

I too, am keeping an eye out for this set, but in the 46" version, but not because it is a 3D set. Where did you get your info from ? The Sony India web site still does not have any information,till15 minutes ago. I was given a price of 80K for the 40" set from Croma yesterday.
While I do not own a 3D set, my personal view, from what I have seen in Showrooms, is that I could not bear watching the screen for more than 10 minutes.
I feel we need to wait another couple of years for the 3Dtechnology to mature. One company has displayed a 21" 3D set without glassses, at the Las Vegas show in Jan...so it just a couple more years!
Currently a pair of 3D Viewing glases are around 4k.

yes,it's now launched in india,....i need 2 buy this tv,...what's the minimum quote u all r getting for a 40" one?..bad cannot go for a bigger sizer..space constraints!

Minimum quote till now is 76000/-.But then you have to consider the expenses involved in 3D glasses. Some reviews are out. Digitalversus is saying that it can not recognize NTFS. I thought that 710 onwards this problem has been solved.

But according to Digitalversus the hx800 has a better overall rating compared to the ex720.. Also there is the 3D crosstalk problem. At the moment Sony offers the 40inch hx800 for 1lakh, inclusive of 2 3d glasses, a 3d BLU ray player with 9 3d BLU rays titles and an Airtel dth hd connection.

The 40HX800 should not cost more than 91-92,000/- after discounting the Airtel connection. 46HX800 cost me 111000/-. This included the 3D freebies.

I would say that tis is a better set and deal than the EX720.

Hi, Could you tell me which dealer was offering this to you at 76K? The best price i got was 80K

Guys,
I checked EX720 at the show room trichy today. I cannot spot much difference between the 100Hz(XR200) of EX720 and the 50Hz of EX520 in fast action. However, having seen the demo on EX720 with and without motion flow, I feel its better to go for minimum 100 Hz refresh rate.

What impressed me was the 3D in EX720. Though we cant watch it forlonger duration, kids will definitely enjoy the once in a while 3D movies. But, is it worth a 15000 rupees extra than EX520? EX520 costs 65K and EX720 costs 80K. If EX620 is introduced in India, then it will be priced between these two models and just above the price of EX710. Should be around 72 K. In any case I need 100 hz refresh rate. So no need to wait for Ex620 and I feel its better go for EX720.

Guys, what do you feel? Any other suggestions, pls do post. Thanks.

I strongly feel HX800 with 200Hz motionflow pro should be a better choice especially with 3D freebies. Also, I am told that the external 3D sensor has 10 sensors instead of 1 which might be there in EX720. Can someone comment on this?

HX800 doesnt have integrated 3D transmitter like Ex720. It has Old Bravia Engine 3 against the latest X-reality in EX720. Lot of network features in EX720 are absent in HX800. I dont find HX800 anything attractive more than EX720 except motion flow 200Hz in HX800. I feel its not worth somuch.

The Sony Center in my town has not yet got the 32EX720 model. Meanwhile, there is a friend in Singapore who is likely to visit India in the coming month. The Sony site of Singapore quotes the price which is equivalent to Rs. 48765/-. Should I ask him to get one for me? What about duty implications? I hear that one doesn't have to pay duty and that lots of people are bringing TV's from Singapore, Middle East etc. Or should I wait and get it from here?
