Congratulations Mate......excellent choice. I had seen demo of 925 and D8000 side by side and this set was a clear winner.......if it wasnt for the 2.24 lac price tag then maybe i would have considered this 55".

Guess you would have got a great discount as the model is on its way out....

Thanks Guys :).The Price tag is 2.49L and Its not on the way out as There is no series 900 release this year, Hx850 is the latest for this year, I checked out both side by side with my settings and chose this.

I like what I see so far, want to calibrate it though.

Congrats again bro. Its an awesome tv no doubt. Buy a THX certified bluray disc like terminator 2 to calibrate or check websites like cnet, hdtv uk, av froums, television info, flatpanel, digital versus for settings. I cant wait for my tv :D

Yes I read that too. I have a Bravia 46X350A which had its flaws, but is an awesome Tv. Similarly this one has its issues, I know it so doesn't bother me.

Haloing because of the dynamic led backlight array zones is the biggest issue on this set.
I wish the panasonic viera could match my sense of style and performance.
I usually arrive upon a comprimise.

Kuros were closer to my sense of style but never could get 4+ lacs to plonk down for them.

Most of them would and might even exceed if viewed in a non bright environment.

These days top end plasma's both from samsung and Panasonic do certain things better than kuro, but still kuro's picture, the color, the depth when viewed in a dark room is simply unmatched. I now and then watch movies in a 60" kuro 600M and i am always simply awe-struck by the quality of picture it displays.

Kuro is one TV which completely deserve all the hype surrounding it.

Hi TSiju,
Whats your feedback on Sony Entertainment Network User Interface on HX 925? When compared to 2012 Sony TVs, this is one thing that is contrasting.
Thank you.
