Hi friends,
I have a query regardig my system's remote.

I have a sony mhc rg22 music system and I have lost its original remote control. Is there any good market to get a remite controler for my system in New delhi? I hav heard that rmsr200 and rmsc3 are compatible to my system.

All I need is a cheap/local/duplicate/used remote controller under Rs.200 - 300, to perform all the functions of the original remote.

So anyone knowing of such markets in Delhi?

Also I have heard of multi device universal remote controlers under rs. 200-400 available online. Can I buy one of those for my system??

Hi buy the primuz remote from flipkart @300. It has learning funtion also and has been reliable for me. Slightly power hungry and will be erratic with low batteries but for the money nothing comes close, operates 5 units.

Hi Gautam,

Thanks for the response.

I have read somewhere that the Primuz remote needs original system remote to learn the functions. However I dont have the old remote with me as I had lost it somewhere. So will the Primuz work in this case?

Hi, it needs the original to learn advanced functions but I am sure all regular commands will be covered in the standard codes. U just need to enter a corresponding code as per their booklet, for Sony it should not be a problem. I was able to get workable codes for my media player, Marantz preamp and very old vcr. I recommend it

Hi friends

Today recueved the primuz 501ul remote. It worked but only with changing fm chanel, volume and power. But its not satisfactory as i need remote for source selecting, sound settings, fm channel storage settigs etc which its not doing. Tried all the direct codes available in the booklet.

yup, I tried the manual search, but it was identifying only the same functions as in direct code setup mode. Only the fm channel changing buttons an volume worked. not other functions. :( :(

Anyways, I returned the remote and got refund. Today I purchased another sony system's remote from local market and even that is not doing half the functions.. I guess Sony's system of specific remote of each music system thing is not that great idea.. :(

sorry to hear that, logitech would have been perfect but is a costly option, try to get one used otherwise. try a listing in wanted section. harmony 200 / 300 will work and you can keep using it as well.

Thanks for the response. I head already bought the music system second hand for 2200 bucks, new remote wold be more than 1000 bucks (50%) of it.. not worth the spending. that y I don't wanna spend more than 250 - 300 bucks. Buy the way, The supported remote model is 'RM SR-200'. If any one knows of cheaper-duplicate make or second hand available, I am ready to buy it but only upto 300 bucks
