I just got a pair of speaker stands. It mostly looks like this. It cost me just 2400. It was just what I was looking for.
Instead of a cylindrical rod connecting bottom to top, it has a square rod.

I was hoping not to spend anything more than 4K for stands. 4K was itself high. I was looking for one around 2K-3K. Fortunately i found.

Minor changes I might need to do is, maybe fill the rod with sand. (Not Decided)
Change the bottom supports to something that looks good - Spikes or so.

Where did you find the stands? I was just searching for speaker stands today and saw your thread. Nice. can you post some pictures of your exact stands ? Can you also let me know if I can purchase the same stands for myself ?

Regards
Kartick

Brother I misplaced my crystal balls, so cant see those stands from here, can you please post some pics? :D

Yes, same here. I broke my crystal ball.

Whats the height, material, weight and place you bought it from?

He posted a link in first post.

However those are not the pictures of actual product he purchased.

Same here.....

Even i would go for them if the available one are 90% same.

However, as per OP "Instead of a cylindrical rod connecting bottom to top, it has a square rod."

The stands in first post and pics look very much like Magma's! i own a pair. I don't think good stands can be that cheap.

@ Vizeta: O that analogy...;) would really appreciate if the actual pictures are posted and also some cross section pictures with the frame thickness etc....

hey OP please help us out here... :sos::sos:

@jaudere: I agree .. t was sounding too good to be true.. especially with the base spikes etc... but I thought I was getting lucky;(

Exactly. The iron itself will cost around 500 (just by weight) and transport around 1k. Designing, laser cutting , sand blasting (or whatever that treatment is called that does not allow iron to rust), labour, spikes, dealer profit etc is all extra. So 2400 is too good to be real unless the OP is getting them used. Tono speaker stands are available but are much ligheter than Sal Alif and still cost 5k apprx.

Guys,

I called up Mangalam Electronics in Bangalore to find out the details about these speaker stands and this is what I found out in terms of their specs :

1.HEIGHT 32"
2.TOP PLATE 6.5"/6.5"
3.BASE PLATE 11"/10"
