Stabilizer or UPS

hi,

i need to protect my home theatre setup from voltage fluctuation n surge but confused between Stabilizer and UPS.

My current setup

Sony 40EX720 TV directly to outlet

Denon AVR 1611
JBL Subwoofer

these 2 on Logicstat 2KVA stabilizer

and

Asus Oplay mini
Tatasky+ HD

these 2 on APC 1100VA UPS

Is this the right setup ?

It depends on what is your requirement.

If TV is connected directly to outlet, then whats the point of using UPS which is connected only to the sources (media player & DTH) ?

If you want some backup of power for watching some stuff on TV during a power cut, then UPS is right for you (TV will also have to be connected via the UPS).

If you want to just protect everything from voltage fluctuations, then a cheaper stabilizer will do.
