Hi,

Shall we connect 42inch 3D LED TV with Numeric UPS that's used for my computer earlier or do i need to buy a stabilizer for that. Already i had a microtek pure sine wave inverter.

Connecting TV + DTH + Home Theater with UPS is the best option? I'm worrying about when the power goes there is some micro sec delay to switch inverter to battery. So i feel connecting TV with UPS we don't make such delay to switch.

Please assist.

Thanks

What is the capacity of the inverter and how much load is connected to it? Is the TV connected to the inverter?
I have all my lighting load including a 42" LED TV connected to a 800VA inverter. The TV works without problems on the inverter. Only I have to reduce other loads when the power goes off

I don't think a computer UPS can support your requirement but a home UPS should be able to (provided you don't have too many power equipment/lights/fans running at the same time).

LED TV, needing less power (<100W may be) should not be an issue when you connect with your home UPS. I have directly connected my 40" LED to home UPS and facing no issues.

Behind the microtek inverter there is a switch that says when the inverter kicks in (what voltage range). Flip it so that the inverter kicks in sooner. By default inverter kicks in a little late. This avoids the settop box restarting when the power fails.
It might also mean low life for your inverter if your area experiences frequent voltage fluctuations.

if your set top box and tv are not restarting when power fails your existing inverter will suffice. However an inverter or for that matter an UPS do not offer full protection against bad incoming voltage. For that you will need to add a spike buster/ conditioner
